I was diagnosed with Lupus Nephritis in May of 2000. Due to my lupus my kidneys failed and I was put on dialysis in 2003.  After being on dialysis for 2 1/2 years, I was blessed to receive a kidney transplant on Mother’s day, May 10, 2006.  It has been a journey of tears and cheers living with lupus and kidney disease.  This is my experience living with a chronic illness and the lessons I have learned from it as well as things I have observed along the way.  Enjoy.
